dining tried and tested Brunswick Sports Club @ Sheraton Hotel
Brunswick Sports Club @ Sheraton Hotel
Updated on 31 May 2016

The Brunswick Sports Club, with its amazing selection of drinks (including private beer fridges), indoor ‘beer garden’ and Australian themed menu, is the first licensed outlet from the intrepid pair ‘Bull and Roo’. Sticking to the ethos of trendy, casual and affordable, the Brunswick is a mash-up between an industrial gym and a rustic neighbourhood bar. Serving a range of food from beer snacks and sharing dishes, to burgers, hot-dogs and traditional main courses; the menu has everything you need to compliment your beer while watching your favourite Euro 2016 team.

What we ate
We started with the sweet potato fries and cheesy mac bites (crispy fried mac and cheese), perfect finger food to take the edge of the hunger while we picked our mains. As we were in a sports bar, our eye naturally went to the great selection of burgers, and we chose the popular mac daddy, made with beef brisket, and the signature Brunswick burger topped with Jack cheese. Both were a handful and just what you need after a hard day. With the conversation flowing and the atmosphere encouraging you to stay, it was only natural to have a dessert, so we went for the ice cream sundae with peanut and pretzel, Mmmm.

Verdict
The food was faultless and exactly what you’d expect from the team at ‘Bull and Roo’. The staff, led by manager Riyahd, were having a great time and made sure everyone was looked after. In addition, the Brunswick is one of the only places that sell Gluten Free beer and food, so now you can invite all your friends to share in the fun.
