Even with an extra day, February is the shortest month of the year, but it doesn't mean it is short on things to do. Emirates Airline Festival Of Literature

Meet some world famous authors, take part in literary debates and workshops, and participate in a number of competitions. This year's line-up of authors includes Tayari Jones, Hoda Barakat, Mohammed Hanif, Linwood Barclay, Graeme Simsion, Mitch Albom and Omar Saif Ghobash. The event is a must for any book reading enthusiast.

Camille Thomas At Dubai Opera

This February, the French-Belgian star Camille Thomas arrives for her first show at Dubai Opera with a programme of Bach’s Cello Suite Number 1, 2, 3 and 5. This rising star became the first cellist signed by the prestigious label Deutsche Grammophon in 40 years. Tickets start from Dhs 150.

RedFestDXB

RedFestDXB returns for another edition at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre. Expect heavyweights Stormzy, Bastille, Martin Garrix, Cheat Codes, Machine Gun Kelly and more to perform back-to-back concerts during the two-day event. Tickets start at Dhs 395.

Laughter Factory

The ultimate laughter roller coster returns with a new line-up of comics and four shows in Dubai and one in Abu Dhabi. A-Ha Live At Dubai Opera

Pop music icons A-Ha are coming to Dubai with their Hunting High And Low tour. A-Ha singer Morten Harket, keyboardist Magne Furuholmen and guitarist Pål Waaktaar-Savoy have sold more than 55 million albums and remain one of the UK and Europe’s most loved pop bands, regularly playing stadiums and festivals. Bloomberg Square Mile Relay

Bloomberg Square Mile Relay, a corporate race series, sees financial services firms team up and compete for the title of ‘fastest firm in the city’. In groups of 10, teams will race a one-mile path from DIFC Gate Building to Gate Avenue. Tickets start from Dhs 6,100 per team of 10 runners.

The Rose At QE2

A moving performance on the QE2 stage will leave audiences glued to their seats till the very end. Dubai World Cup Carnival

The build up to one of the wealthiest races across the world, Dubai World Cup, continues with another race meeting in a series of nail biting races. Formidable! Aznavour At Dubai Opera

Maluma Live 

Latin music fans are in for a pleasant surprise as Colombian superstar Maluma will be coming to Dubai for his debut live performance in the Emirate as part of his 11:11 World Tour. Expect him to perform a number of tracks from his latest album 11:11 and much more. Entry starts from Dhs 295.

SANAM Band Live 

Romance will truly be in the air this Valentine’s Day as leading Indian pop rock band Sanam, known for its renditions of old classic Bollywood songs as well as original music paves way for a magical concert in Dubai. Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship 

The two week long tennis championship consists of a WTA Premier 5 women’s event followed by the ATP 500 men’s competition, where top tennis stars compete to win the coveted title. Last year saw Roger Federer win his 100th overall title and eighth Dubai title. Get ready for some great tennis action.

The Greatest Hits At QE2

Al Marmoom Women’s Cycling Challenge

The cycling challenge along the course of Al Qudra track invites all women, novice and expert to take part. Participants can choose from the distances of 10, 20 and 70km.
