3 restaurants to try tonight
Updated on 11 July 2017

If you’ve done a Google search to help you decide where you’re dining tonight…we feel your pain. Not every restaurant on that list will be great and we’re pretty sure you don’t want to settle for an average meal – at least not when you're on holiday. Therefore, to make things easier, we’ve done the research. All you must do is book your table and enjoy your meal. Thank us later.

1. The Daily at Rove Downtown, Downtown Dubai

Meet and mingle with fellow holidaymakers at this al fresco BBQ. Held every Tuesday, diners pay Dhs 99 per person for a buffet of yummy salads and appetisers, four house beverages and one sizzling BBQ dish from chef Spencer's delicious grilled menu. The setting is casual with a DJ playing cool tunes while guests soak in views of Burj Khalifa. The BBQ is available from 7pm to 12am. Psst...the eatery, open from 6.30am to 11.30pm daily, is well-known for its international menu with the chef's favourite dishes being shakshouka (eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes onions and peppers), pizzas and the delish sticky toffee pudding. www.rovehotels.com

2. Noire at Fairmont Dubai, Sheikh Zayed Road

This award-winning restaurant promises you more than just a meal. It is an experience. A weekly-changing three-course menu is paired with beverages and presented to diners in a pitch-black dining room. Diners set foot in the reception area where they discuss the featured menu with the chef and restaurant manager. They are then led into the restaurant where the next hour and a half is a tease of sorts. Dishes on the menu aren’t revealed, so guests have no idea what they’re being served. It’s a real test of your senses (besides sight, obvs). Curious how servers do their job? They use state-of-the-art night vision goggles to lead guests to their seats and to complete the service. The menu is priced at Dhs 325 per person. The multi-sensory experience is available from Monday to Friday at 7.30pm. www.fairmont.com/dubai

3. Yalumba at Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre, Garhoud

Pescatarians take note of Yalumba’s Tuesday offering. The restaurant, renowned for its international cuisine, will be hosting a mid-week seafood night from 7.30pm to 11pm. Relish in the best of seafood - oysters, prawns, lobsters, squids - cooked the way you like it. Your options include grilled, Indian tandoor style, fried tempura, or even Mongolian or Thai curries. It costs Dhs 259 per person inclusive of soft beverages and water. www.yalumbadubai.com
