The Act Dubai continues its acclaimed dinner show concept with Alice in Wonderland, but this time there’s a twist! As you follow Alice down the rabbit hole and into Wonderland, you can forget your normal sit-down dinner, they’re all mad! Join Alice and the cast for the silliest party you’ve ever been to, as they literally turn this classic tale on its head, course-by-course, and table-by-table – expect the unexpected!

What we ate
Cocktails and canapés are served on arrival, including tuna figurin, salmon tartar, crab sandwich, beef anticucho, chicken croquette and tofu tartar. When the ‘playing cards’ finally lay your table, an amazing 3 course Peruvian set menu is served between the acts, with yucca buns and causa for starters, followed by black angus ribeye for main, and how about a nice piece of traditional topsy turvy cake for desert. Throughout the meal there is free flowing red and white wine, cocktails and soft drinks.

Verdict
The show was excellent and each course was timed perfectly throughout the show, allowing you to enjoy both the entertainment and the meal. Add this to being immersed in a live performance, and you truly have a wonderful dinner and a show experience.

Cost
Tickets can be purchased for Dhs 495 on the door each evening. Price includes a 3 course Peruvian set menu, a selection of house wines and soft drinks.

Open
The ALICE show is available every Tuesday and Wednesday from 8pm to Midnight, with the show starting promptly at 9pm.

The Act Dubai is located in the Shangri-La Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road. Call +971 (04) 3551116 or email reservations@theactdubai.com. - P.C.
