Orbi Dubai is officially open in City Centre Mirdif. The indoor museum allows visitors to discover the planet in an innovative way, combining SEGA’s technology with BBC Earth’s natural history content. The space consists of 12 spectacular exhibits that feature visual technology and interactive walk-through touch points. Some of them are the Earth Palette (a 360-degree visual treat with images of animals, landscapes and plants), Time Slice (where visitors gauge their abilities in relation to some of the speediest animals on the planet) and Animalpedia (interactive screens featuring life-size visuals of animals and display pop-up facts).

The highlight of the venue is the Earth Theatre, a 35m wide screen that plays custom made BBC Earth films. Two massive screens behind viewers create a 360-degree, fully immersive edutainment experience. Ticket prices start from Dhs 140. Family tickets are available for Dhs 449 for a liited time only. Orbi Dubai is open from 10am to 10pm from Sunday to Wednesday and 10am to midnight from Thursday to Saturday. www.orbidubai.com
