5 things to do in Dubai this week
Updated on 20 August 2017

To ensure this week isn't a dull one for you, we've done the research. From food offers to poolside chilling, here are five activities that will keep you busy through each day of the week.

SUNDAY

If you’ve taken the day off from work, you don’t need to stay indoors. Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa’s poolside is where you should be. For Dhs 150, get access to the swimming pool and get a Dhs 100 voucher to redeem on food and beverage at the snack bar Le Deck or the sports bar Shades. Call 04-3995555.

MONDAY

Asian hotspot China Grill has launched a new offer. On Mondays, diners pay Dhs 388 per pair for a seven-course tasting menu that includes dishes such as dumplings, sushi, sashimi and (a yummy berries and meringue) dessert. There’s free-flowing grape too. Available from 7pm to 10pm. Call 04-5117333.

TUESDAY

There are other reasons to visit Riva Beach besides its new, revamped Mediterranean menu. Firstly, you can soak up the sun for half the price during weekdays, which means you only pay Dhs 50 per person. Plus, there are happy hours from 4pm to 8pm where you can sip on selected beverages for just Dhs 25 and enjoy views of the skyline, Burj Al Arab and the Arabian Sea. Call 04-4309466.

WEDNESDAY

Dubai Design District or d3 as it is commonly known is the address for Creative Shelf DXB, a pop-up filled with local designers. In addition, there are workshops for fashion, beauty, photography and even social media. The schedule can be found here. Open from 10am to 7pm, daily. Call 055-6125774.

THURSDAY

Take advantage of being a lady. Gather the BFFs for a night out at Shanghai 30. The bar at Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf is offering ladies three selected mixed beverages for Dhs 3 each (we love the sound of a Dhs 9 bill). Plus, there are other offers such as three glasses of house grape for Dhs 19, a bottle of house grape for Dhs 49 and a 30% discount on food. Available from 8pm to 11pm. Call 04-3177777.
