International DJs To Perform Live At DXB
Updated on 03 April 2019

Travelling through Dubai International Airport (DXB) gets even more exciting, as travellers will soon be able to watch local and international musicians and DJs performing live for them, and the best thing is it’s free to watch.

DXB becomes the first airport to have a resident DJ and it is set to share its love for music with over 25,000 daily visitors with the first gig scheduled for Friday, 4 April.

The new venture is a collaboration between DXB and Holla Sonic, the brainchild of chart-topping DJ duo Hollaphonic. The duo will be curating a regular monthly calendar of performances including local and international talent.

With this new musical venture, DXB looks to create an opportunity for celebrity performers who pass through the airport to stop and perform to the international audience DXB caters to.

Hollaphonic’s Olly Wood commented, “Right now, an average one in five people are walking around the airport with headphones on, listening to music that comforts and soothes, motivates and inspires and sparks joy.”

This month sees Dubai’s favourite DJ duo Hollaphonic play on April 4, followed by Scott Forshaw on 5 and 6 April and Mark Shakedown the following weekend.

After a break during Ramadan, the performances will be back for the busy Eid travel period continuing as a regular monthly activation.

The performances will take place between noon and 2.00pm at concourse B, Terminal 3.
