What to do

Ski Dubai
Mall Of The Emirates

Located inside the Mall of the Emirates, Ski Dubai is the world's third largest indoor ski slope and the first to open in the Middle East. In the middle of the dessert, you have 6,000 tons of snow at your disposal where you can also settle yourself for a meet and greet session with Snow Penguins that the whole family will fall in love with. The March of the Penguins takes place several times a day which is free for Snow Park guests.  The place is literally a magical arena that maintains the temperature levels below zero degrees, when outside it’s touching highs of 40 degrees. A part of the ground floor in Mall of the Emirates has literally been transformed into an ice-land where you can ski, play snow games or opt for sloppy ice rides. The offering here is exactly the opposite to what Dubai’s natural weather offers you.

At Ski Dubai’s entrance, you are provided with a jacket, pants and a pair of shoes with disposable socks to protect you from the cold. However, you may need to purchase gloves or hats if you feel cold as temperatures constantly remain below zero. If you have them, bring your own gloves and hats, however, hats are provided for free to kids.  Skiers can ask for ski equipment, the cost of which is included in the ticket. If you are new to winter sports, you can also ask for some lessons from expert professionals for an additional charge.

As soon as you move through a thermal insulation rotating door, you step into a giant freezer with a sudden drop in temperature. The snow provides almost the same sensation as on a natural slope. If you are not there for skiing, you can take the chairlift up to the top of the slope and take the exciting zip line ride back down. A 2-hour ticket is normally enough to enjoy this amazing state-of-art facility.
