Updated on 27 August 2017

The Eid Al Adha weekend is coming up, and with lots of different things happening around the city, be assured the break won’t be a boring one. Here are five places where you can make the most of the long weekend:

1. City Walk

City Walk will be celebrating up until 8th September. Expect interactive pop-ups from its popular entertainment venues such as The Green Planet, Hub Zero and Mattel Play! Town from 1st to 4th September. Visitors can also enjoy craft sessions, gaming stations, trivia quizzes and animal showcases. Plus, there will be roaming entertainment and performances by international artists until 8th September. Lastly, for every Dhs 300 spent, shoppers can get their names in a draw where 10 of them can win a two-night stay at La Ville Hotel, inclusive of passes to three entertainment destinations and a voucher to spend at Boutique Le Chocolat. Call 04-3173999.

2. The Outlet Village

If you’re using the break as an opportunity to update your wardrobe, look no further. The Outlet Village’s flash sale between 1st and 3rd September means discounts of up to 90% on brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Nike, Lanvin, BCBG, Sephora and Galeries Lafayette. Families can participate in workshops such as cookie decorating and mini mosaics from 1pm to 9pm, daily. Restaurants at The Outlet Village will help make Eid memorable with special offers – children under the age of 12 can eat for free at IHOP, The Brass is offering diners a 20% discount on their bill, while Awani will offer groups spending over Dhs 300 a 20% discount. Call 04-3173999.

3. Vida Downtown

The popular boutique hotel is offering guests a special stay package wherein they save 10% when they book a two-night stay, 15% for a three-night stay and 20% for a four-night stay. Plus, there’s a brunch like no other at 3in1 on the 1st of September. The meal will transport you to London – get your ‘oyster card’ and browse through different tube stations for a taste of Britain’s finest, with a creative Vida twist, obvs. We’re talking Shepherd’s pie, fish and chips and other classics. Priced from Dhs 295. For an extra Dhs 100, you can secure a cabana by the pool. Call 04-4238899.
