As the UAE celebrates Eid Al Adha this weekend, fireworks will light up the skies in various parts of the city. Here are three places where you can watch the dazzling display.
The Beach (opposite Jumeirah Beach Residence) has announced several activities to celebrate the holidays, including fireworks on four days, starting 31st August, from 8.45pm onwards. Expect a carnival-like atmosphere with entertainment for the whole family. Plus, there will be marching bands, street performers and activities for children, including a kids’ play area at the South Lawn.
For those who can't make it to that end of town, there will be a fireworks display at Dubai Festival City's Festival Bay on the first day of Eid at 9pm and 11pm. From the 1st to the 3rd of September, shoppers will be entertained by clowns and characters roaming the mall. Entry to watch both fireworks is free.
The Middle East’s largest theme park destination, Riverland will mark Eid with fireworks on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 9pm. Visitors will be given celebratory balloons and can experience the best of Emirati hospitality, including traditional Arabic coffee. Street performances will take place across Riverland and little guests will be able to meet characters from famous animation feature films.
