DFC is a month long programme of fitness and health activities for people of all ages and abilities to be ‘In It, Together’  and complete 30 minutes of physical activity daily for 30 days.

For the third edition of DFC, the city was transformed into a ‘City Gym’ with over 13,000 fitness and wellness activities and events, and over 285,000 people attended the free month long Fitness Villages at Dubai Festival City Mall and Kite Beach, and more than 30,000 visited the 11 Fitness Hubs across residential and business districts.

Some of the major highlights of DFC include:

Dubai hosted the first ever Dubai Run on Sheikh Zayed Road. Led by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan, the event witnessed 70,000 people who reached Dubai World Trade Centre Metro Station at 5.30am to participate in this one off run.

Instagram fitness star Joe Wicks led the city in the region’s largest ever High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) session, joining thousands of participants who took on the intense 30-minute workout. The fitness celebrity star was very close to breaking his own personal record of the number of highest attendees in any fitness class.

Global celebrities including WWE® Superstar Becky Lynch®, Clarence Seedorf, Christian Karembeu, John Terry and Richard Whitehead among others also joined in the Challenge inspiring and motivating fans to make a commitment to their health, and take the first steps towards a more active lifestyle.

100% of Dubai schools pledged their participation marking the most significant milestone of DFC 2019 as it emphasised the grass-roots effectiveness of the event impacting youth of the city, defining a sustainable and positive mind-set shift for the future.

The challenge is over but not the fitness journey. The DFC website features ‘Find Your 30’ platforms that offers a library of free resources including workout videos, 30-day exercise programmes, discipline challenges, podcasts, healthy recipes, health and wellness articles and vlogs, workout graphics, educational videos for children, and more to keep you motivated and active.
