Children Under 18 Get Free Tourist Visa
Updated on 04 July 2019

It’s that time of year again where we should remind our friends and families back home that may be planning to visit us here in the UAE, that their children can save them some money.

This comes in line with a cabinet decision issued in July last year, which waives the tourist visa fee for children under 18 between 15 July and 15 September every year. The law was introduced in 2018 to encourage people to choose Dubai as a family holiday destination.

The visa fees for minors can be waived off only on one condition, when children under 18 are accompanied by one of their parents coming to the UAE on a tourist visa.

Tourists can apply for the visa through its smart app (ICA UAE e-channels) in the family tourist visa category, or through its website www.ica.gov.ae.
