UAE Creates World’s First Ministry Of Possibilities

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has set up a first of its kind and the world’s first virtual ministry, Ministry of Possibilities. 

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid took to Twitter to announce the launch. The tweet read, “We launched the world’s first virtual ‘Ministry of Possibilities,’ a new government work system in the UAE. The virtual ministry, administered by the cabinet, will address pressing national portfolios and build future government systems.”

The virtual ministry will have no specific minister but instead be administered by a committee of Cabinet members. According to the government news agency, WAM, it will “incubate and develop radical solutions for the government’s most critical challenges.”

The new virtual ministry will bring private, government and federal teams together to provide proactive solutions to critical issues, which require quick, bold and effective decisions.

The ministry will showcase to the world a new model for next generation government structures where innovative working methods will be adopted to take calculated risks, with the aim of improving people’s quality of life.

The new ministry, according to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, is a modern way to make the UAE’s unconventional ambitions a reality.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid further added, “The future brings challenges that require constant government restructuring. The word impossible does not exist in our dictionary. It is not part of our vision and will never be part of our vision.”
