New Visa For Healthcare Professionals
Updated on 13 January 2019

In order to attract global healthcare professionals to serve citizens and residents of the UAE, the government has launched a new visa which will make Dubai an attractive option for them.

Currently, visiting doctors can only obtain a temporary visa in the free zone which is valid for three months and can be extended by and additional three months.

However the new visa allows global healthcare professionals to work in up to three clinical facilities at Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC), with a visa valid for two years. The professionals can also sponsor their families during their stint with DHCC.

Medical professionals can apply for the visa from abroad through the online portal www.dhcr.gov.ae/en/E-Services, which will be approved once they obtain a 'letter of acceptance" from a clinical facility.
